Thrifty finds

My friend Kali describes me as thrifty. At first I thought she was insane. I love to shop and spend money. But then I realized this girl may be on to something.

Lindsay's Thrifty Shopping Rules:

1. When online shopping (which is my favorite method, FYI), check for coupon codes; www.retailmenot.com is a personal favorite.

2. Try to *Never* buy something unless its on promotion.

3. Use www.ebates.com for additional cash back. Yes. It's legit. (Kali didn't believe me, then I showed her my check. :)

4. I follow See Chloe Shop (Shop, Chloe, Shop!) She features sales every. single. day. She loves doing the legwork, and she does a damn good job.

5. When in doubt, don't buy it. Wait 'til it goes on sale.

6. If you really love it, buy it. Even if its not on sale. (But use a coupon code and ebates.)

7. You can find good stuff at Marshall's. Don't be scared- dive right in.

8. Just cause its second hand, doesn't mean its shoddy. But it sure can be if you aren't careful. Try to buy nice stuff secondhand- its worth the $2 extra dollars.

9. Its worth it to buy expensive bras. Just use a coupon.

10. If you are going to splurge, try to do it on layaway. I bought the most GORGEOUS necklace from The Glamourai; I bought it on layaway so it didn't hurt nearly as badly each month. (Thanks, Kelly, for helping me buy something really, really nice for myself! :)

Shopping is fun. Its more fun if you get it on sale. (Just sayin'.)

Have a lovely rest of the week, and my sincere thanks to the men and women who have risked their lives to serve their country and give me my much appreciated freedom. Thank you, veterans.
